           Canada Geese
                         Geese Facts

     facts    Nesting Season is from mid-March to           
           mid-May.   Migratory Geese nest only in
           Canada/Alaska.
     facts    Flight range is from 2,000 to 3,000 miles.
     facts    Canada Geese return to the general area
           of their birth each year to mate and nest.
     facts    The eggs in a nest are called a "clutch".
     facts    During June, adult geese lose wing feathers
           and are unable to fly.   This is called molting.
     facts    Canada Geese live up 20 years, and weigh
           from 20 to 30 pounds.
